Manuel Marchès, double bass player, is born October 8th 1970 at “Villeneuve sur lot” in France. He discovers jazz at the age of 15 and starts playing regularly in clubs with local and confirmed musicians such as Craig BAILEY or Steve LACY. In 1994 he studies at the William Paterson College of New Jersey (USA) with Rufus REID. He is a very talented musician, mastering the tradition of this music and remains very opened to its recent stylistic evolutions.
