Bertrand Lauer (LowerB) soprano sax : after having studied at the National Superior Conservatory of Paris (with François Jeanneau) then at Berklee college of music in Boston (with Bill Pierce), Bertrand plays in many concerts in the USA and in Germany with a quartet that he led with vibrophonist Oli Bott. They won prizes in many competitions : AS.PRO.JAZZ (France), Jazz à Vannes (France) , Europ'Jazz contest (Belgium), NDR Musikpreis (Germany), Leipzig Improvisation competition (Germany). Bertrand works as an arranger/composer/performer for labels such as Universal music and as a producer in various styles of music (electronic music, hip-hop, rock) within his recording studio. He is currently working on his Ph.D at the Sorbonne in Paris with Laurent Cugny. |

Mauro Gargano double bass : he first studied classical and jazz double bass with Maurizio Quintavalle, Furio di Castri, Christian Gentet then with Ricardo DelFra at the National Superior Conservatory of Paris where he won a first prize. Mauro won prizes at the La Défense and Jazz in Vannes competitions too. He worked with Paolo Fresu, Franco Ambrosetti, Billy Cobham, Michel Legrand, Francesco Bearzatti, Nicolas Folmer, Gianluca Petrella, Nicola Stilo, Nico Gori, Gaetano Partipilo, Giovanni Falzone, Fabrizio Bosso, Bruno Angelini, Benjamin Henocq, Thierry Eliez, Max Pinto, Nico Morelli, Giovanni Mirabassi, Pierre-Alain Goualch, Boris Blanchet, Mike Melillo, John Betsch and records with Nicolas Folmer/Michel Legrand 5tet, Three Moons, Giovanni Falzone European 5tet, Nico Gori European quartet, Sam Coombes & Rob Chapman, Sylvain Del Campo, Nicola Conte (…). |

Luc Isenmann drums : he studied classical and jazz percussions at the Conservatoire of Strasbourg (1988-1994) and then at the National Superior Conservatory in Paris with Daniel Humair, François Jeanneau, Jean-François Jenny-Clark, Hervé Sellin and François Théberge. He played in many concerts and tours in Europe and Africa with Benjamin Moussay Trio, Sarah Morrow, Aldo Romano (singer), Danilo Réa Trio, Jacky Terrasson, Gary Burton BruntOff, Europeen Jazz Youth Orchestra 1997. He participated to several world premieres in comtemporary music too with Ahmed Essyad, Georges Aperghis, et Michel Reverdy. He won a first prize at the Avignon jazz competition and a first prize in jazz at the National Superior Conservatory of Paris. He teaches jazz drums at the Conservatoire of Strasbourg. |
